Following our first Bigas Luna Tribute event of 2022 in New York a month earlier, the Danish Film Institute, Cinemateket (Gothersgade 55, 1123 København K, Tlf: +45 3374 3400) screened a 35mm print with Danish subtitles of Jamón jamón (1992) on Friday May 6th, 2022 with an introduction by Prof Santiago Fouz Hernández (Durham University). The event included a Spanish wine reception offered by the Spanish Embassy in Denmark. More info here.
The day before, on May 5th Fouz gave a conference presentation on La teta i la lluna (1993) at the CISCO Conference (Conversations on Iberian Studies: Challenges and Opportunities) at the University of Copenhagen.
This special screening of Jamón jamón marks the 30 years since the original release of the film.
